Women of the Shoah Jewish Placemaking
Women of the Shoah engages community, business leaders, and Holocaust survivors and their families to build public Monuments honoring the spirit of humanity in the women and children of the Holocaust. We create public art that educatse, inform, and transform the viewers perspective on the Holocaust, antisemitism, racism and all genocide of women and children. We do this through tours, placemaking initiatives, educational curriculum, and a documentary film around "She Wouldn't Take Off Her Boots," North Carolina’s Holocaust monument dedicated to the women and children who endured or perished in the Holocaust. Contact us if you are interested in screening the documentary, going on a tour, or bringing the monument to your city.
