Know Parade
Institute: PSU Art and Social Practice MFA Program, Assembly 2017
Collaborator: Avalon Kalin and The Walking School
During the Know Parade everyone was a teacher and a student. Participants each drew an object on a picket sign as the focal point for an idea, experience, or lesson that they wanted to teach. Walking in pairs, they spent a few minutes teaching and learning from each other. When the brass band stopped, they switched partners. Bystanders were welcome to join in.
