"The Museum" is a multidisciplinary art production including a comic play, participatory sculpture, and electronic sound installation. The heart of this performance is the relationship between lay–public and high art. Large building blocks, stacked by the audience, represent the progression of creative ideas and the critical forces that annihilate them in ongoing succession through history. Scenes include boisterous and passionate readings of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti's Futurist Manifesto (with a large industrial ventilator fan) and excerpts from Rainer Maria Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet. The play culminates in a flood of bright light, a nod to 20th century artist Francis Picabia, acknowledging the ultimate merging of performer and audience.
